Football Rules
At opposing ends of the pitch each team has its goal. In front of the goal is a semi-circular area which is the goalkeeper's area. The goalkeeper must stay inside this semi-circle, and everyone else must outside it.
The length of the pitch is divided in two halfway, by a halfway line.
The whole pitch is used, including the walls. Players are allowed to pass to themselves off the walls. Players are allowed to score by shooting the ball off a wall into the opposing goal.
Players must advance the ball over the halfway line before shooting the ball at the opponents' goal.
The ball must stay below head height. This is judged to be the average height of players. The only exceptions are if the ball rebounds off a goalie, or if the ball hits the skirting of the walls and rebounds upwards.
Players are allowed to return the ball backwards over the halfway line, and are allowed to return the ball to the goalkeeper.
No hacking at your opponent's legs. Go cleanly for the ball, not the legs.
No tackling from behind, no tackling between an opponent's legs, no slide talking. These are dangerous.
No pushing, or heavy leaning into opponents. Whilst you can use your arms to keep an opponent from leaning into you, you can't use your elbows or lean into your opponent.
No kicking out or dragging with your rear (trailing) leg.
Fouls result in an indirect free kick. Unsportsmanlike or dangerous play will result in a direct penalty kick.
Every player takes turns to be the goalkeeper. When you're goalie you should time approximately 3 minutes and then when you gain possession of the ball then call for a change of goalkeeper.
